About What the people want
What the people want was originally a 30 minute fortnightly segment on local ABC radio in Brisbane where Graham Young and John Black conducted online polls and discussed the results. Since 2001 Graham had been conducting online polling and discussing the results on-air, originally as a way of informing his political commentary. His first partners were Mike Kaiser, a former state secretary of the Queensland Labor Party, and then Tim Grau, who had worked for Kevin Rudd. John Black was a former Labor senator for Queensland.
