Nielsen still shows Coalition ahead

The SMH reports that the latest Nielsen Poll (taken mid-last week) shows essentially no change in the votes of the government and opposition. Two-party preferred is 49% to 51% (government to opposition) and first preference votes are 44% Coalition, 36% Labor and 13% Greens.

The latest poll from The West Australian is showing a small two-party preferred swing in voting intention towards Labor since the last election.

 

 
Kelly safe in Eden Monaro

The Canberra Times reported last week that the ALP is scoring 61 percent of the two-party preferred vote in Eden Monaro. This seat tends to change hands with the government. The poll is a blow to those using the Antony Green election calculator which relies on an even swing across the country.

 
Advertiser poll: Pyne prospers in Sturt

An Adelaide Advertiser poll of 575 in Sturt gives the seat to incumbent Christoper Pyne with a swing of 4.1 percentage points to him, giving him 55% of the two-party preferred vote. Pyne currently holds the seat by .09%.
