Dawson and Lindsay are likely to fall to the opposition according to Newspoll research commissioned by The Weekend Australian.

Samples are small in both cases (around 600) but the results tend to be in line with most other polls at the moment. Dawson is 50/50 after preferences, and Lindsay 51/49 to the opposition.

The results in Lindsay have comparative figures from a poll in mid-June, and these show Labor pulling back substantially from then. According to Newspoll, if a poll had  been held in June Labor would only have won 44% of the vote compared to 49% now.

These figures suggest that Labor may have passed the low point of their campaign and be on the way back.
