Consumer confidence up 34.3 pts in twelve months |
Roy Morgan research reports that consumers are now 34.3 pts more confident than they were twelve months ago, taking the Roy Morgan Consumer Confidence index to 129.5, up 4.8 in a week. This mirrors our polling with most respondents confident of the direction in which their personal circumstances are heading. The research says that while consumers found the last twelve months testing with 31% saying they are better off now compared to 28% who say they are worse off, a large plurality of 48% expects their family to be better off in a year compared to only 14% who expect it to be worse off. |
